Our Masterclasses in Pistoia, Italy, offer an immersive musical experience that combines exceptional instruction with the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Italy. Participants work closely with distinguished faculty in masterclasses, private lessons, and performance opportunities while refining their musicianship in an inspiring international setting. Beyond the classroom, students experience Italy’s vibrant musical traditions, historic landmarks, and local culture, creating a unique program that fosters artistic growth, cultural appreciation, and lasting connections with fellow musicians from around the world.
Tuition and fees
The total cost per student is $2500. This includes tuition, accommodation and meals for the entirety of the program. The price does not include transportation costs (flights to/from Italy).

- Daily private lessons or coachings
- Masterclasses
- Singers will be paired with pianists to work with during the program
- Performance opportunities at Villa Magni and other Tuscany locations
- Transportation during scheduled activities (performances outside of Pistoia)
Accommodation
Accommodation will be in shared apartments with double rooms (two students per room). There are pianos available for practice and rehearsal in each apartment.
Meals
Three daily meals at Villa Magni are included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Getting there
Pistoia is located in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Lucca, and is easily accessible by air, train, and car.
By Air
The closest airport is Florence Airport (FLR) – approximately 35 minutes by car and about 1 hour by train.
By Train
Pistoia is well connected by Italy’s rail network.
From Florence:
- Frequent regional trains depart from Firenze Santa Maria Novella approximately every 30 minutes.
- Travel time: 35–45 minutes.
The train station is just a short walk from Pistoia’s historic center.
By Car
Pistoia is conveniently located along the A11 motorway connecting Florence and Pisa. Parking is available near the city center, although many areas within the historic center are pedestrian-only.
Airport Transfers
Participants may travel independently by train or arrange a taxi from the airport. We are also happy to help coordinate shared transportation with other participants whenever possible.
